Projects Galore!

Ahhh...Fall is approaching. And just the thought of it inspires and motivates me. I have a huge list of things that I want/need to do around my home. So many drawers, cabinets, closets to organize. Baseboards to dust. Windows to clean. And the list goes on and on. Some people absolutely dread lists like this. I LOVE to clean and organize, so believe it or not, I get enjoyment out of these things. It feels so good to stay on top of things and not let the clutter get out of control. I just made another trip to the Goodwill last week.

Last night, I accomplished something HUGE...a window cleaning project in our bedroom. The dirty windows in our bedroom have always bothered me. So much that I would keep the blinds closed so that I didn't have to look at them. Sad. They were full of drywall mud, paint splotches, and tons of dust from when we bought our fixer-upper house 5 years ago. The windows themselves are not ancient but not new and easy to open for cleaning. So I finally requested the help I needed from the handy hubby to take them apart for a deep deep cleaning. He happily did this for me and I am SO excited about what my windows look like now. They absolutely *sparkle*!

And another one of my projects has been some work in the boys' room. The other day I happened accross some cute block letters that I thought would look perfect in their room. I spray painted them and love how they personalize the room.

I thought Carson looked so cute in this picture. Couldn't not post it.

I also organized their bookshelf and added a couple of organizational baskets. It looks so much better than it before.
Hmmmm...I wonder what will be next?

Blessed

I am so blessed to be able to stay at home with my children each and every day. And I am so incredibly thankful for my hard working husband who enables me to do this. What an incredible joy these years are and they are flying by! I never want to forget them. So, that means pictures, pictures, and more pictures.

Until now, Austin hasn't even had enough hair to have a bad hair day.

Just a cute look.
Carson plays with Austin so nicely.

So precious.

My little girl who likes books.

I'm so proud of how gentle Carson is with Austin.
Big yawn.

Love the profile.
My baby and his silly tricks.
Have you ever seen a 9 month old who can do push-ups?
Just another dress-up day.
A 3 hour nap makes for a very happy boy.

Here we go again...found Carson playing in the backyard by daddy's trailer like this...

yup...the neighbors directly behind us were out.
Making tortilla pizzas for supper.
Lots of help.

The Past Few Days...

Austin is sure getting around these days. Not fast by any means, but he is getting to where he wants to go.
One day last week, Kylie and I pulled out "the big boy toys". We thought Austin might be getting ready for more than just rattles and teething rings.
Really concentrating on the blocks. Check out those sweet cheeks.
Carson's way of loving Austin.

"Watch out, here I come!"

On Saturday night, we all went out for Mexican food at La Mesa, our absolute favorite restaurant. And then we went to Memorial Park and let the kids play for a while. It was a fun family outing.

I was so proud of Carson for making it all the way up the rock-climbing wall...all on his own too.

Austin's first time in a swing. He loved it!

He wasn't too sure about the sand though.

Sunday morning bath-time. Yes, we still use his little tub and it's about time to pack it away. Lots of mopping up of water after this little munchkin is done.
He LOVES the water by the way.

And a great way to end a Sunday...tickle-time with daddy.
