Downtown Omaha

Last weekend we decided to enjoy an evening down in the Old Market. It was a blast! It was an absolutely perfect evening. We stopped at Subway and got some sandwiches to enjoy on a picnic by the Conagra fountain. The kids had so much fun running around. It was Kaycee's idea to take a horse and carriage ride around Hearland of America Park. I have to say, it was a great idea! It was an evening enjoyed by all!

Our Busy Carson

Let me start off by saying that we love our Carson SO SO SO very much!! We wouldn't trade him for anything! Secondly, let me say that our 7 year old keeps us very busy...busier than our 7 month old Austin keeps us :) On our way home from church on Sunday, it was was pretty quiet in the back seat and we found out why when we got home...

thank you Lord for goo gone! it did the trick!

Carson has had a facination with trying apparel on ever since he was little. It doesn't matter if it is for men or women either. I will spare you the bra and panty stories...ha. Don't know why but he really likes to try on apparel and then run around outside with it on. I usually catch him, but for some reason, about 4 times lately I haven't. About a month ago, he was riding his bike right outside the front of our house in his underwear. A few days later, I layed down with Carson in our bed thinking he might take a little nap. Well, I was out in no time. I awoke a while later to find Carson missing and bolted out of bed. Found my child outside in my old junky pj shorts with both his legs in one leg hole with the waistband string strung around his neck a couple of times...it was a sight. On Sunday afternoon I couldn't find Carson anywhere in the house, so I knew he had to be outside. He was way down at the very end of our backyard by the alley watching our neighbor. And what was Carson wearing? Only a mickey mouse t-shirt and my nice white sunday heels. He was watching the neighbor so intnently that I startled him when I called his name. You wouldn't believe how fast that boy ran back up to the house in my heels. It was funnier than funny to watch that boy run with those high heels on!! Wonder what the neighbors think of us? :) Actually, I probably don't want to know. They sure get free entertainment though! No doubt there.

a little clean-up work for mom

found Carson in daddy's boots the other day...now this was just cute!

i've found this a few times lately, can you guess who the culprit is? not sure if it is used or not, but I'm sure not going to risk saving it

yup, I think i've found him

Hives

And it was to the doctor we went today! After suffering with an unknown skin condition for more than a week now and a sudden worsening in a 24 hour period, it was time to seek a dr.'s opinion and treatment! I had thought that he had a case of poison ivy because Kaycee had gotten into it while cutting a tree down at his parent's house a couple of weeks ago. The doctor said that he does NOT have poison ivy but some sort of a NON-CONTAGIOUS contact dermatitis. What a huge relief to know that I can kiss my baby and hold him without having to worry about contracting what he has. I was worried for a while. The doc put Austin on steriods for three days. Hope that these will kick in very soon!
poor baby is covered with hives from head to toe

still such a happy boy, not a single complaint from my little Austin

time for my steriods mom!
