Teacher's Gifts

Carson is officially out of school for the summer as of yesterday! Because Carson's teachers and paras have done so much for him, I really wanted to do something special for them. So, Kylie and I had a ton of fun putting together a little basket of chocolate chip cookies we baked to show them our appreciation. I baked over 100 chocolate chip cookies on Tuesday. It went super fast thanks to my new double oven!! Kylie helped me put all of the cookies in each goodie bag and helped hold the bag so that I could tie ribbon around it. She is always so eager to help and I am so appreciative of her help...I especially needed four hands for this project. She helped me load the baskets in the van and hand them out to all five special teachers/paras.

Kindergarten Fun Run!

Arlington track and field day was yesterday and Carson participated in the fun run. He had been practicing for a couple of weeks, so I was excited to come and watch him run. Before they ran, the school honored two ladies who were retiring. Each of the elementary students were given a balloon and the balloons were let go as the ladies walked past the lines of students. Guess whose balloon was the first to be let go prematurely? That's right, my Carson's! Ha! Carson did SO good for his run. He stayed in his lane and made it all the way to the end. Yeah Carson!!

Great Grandma and "Aunnie"

This past weekend, my grandma and Aunt Bonnie (called "Aunnie" by Carson and Kylie) came down from South Dakota. They met Cody for the first time and hadn't seen Austin since Christmas. We spent Saturday at my mom's house...grilling out, ooing and awing over the babies, jumping on the trampoline, chatting, and eating ice cream. It was tons of fun. Then on Sunday evening, everyone came to our place. Thanks Mom for bringing pizza! It will be 4th of July before we see my grandma and Aunnie again. Can't wait!

My New Nephew

Meet Cody Ryan! Born to Adam and Ginger on May 6, 2010. 8 lbs, 10 oz and very healthy. Thank you Lord! I am so excited for Austin to have a cousin so close in age to him. Right now, the age difference seems huge, but it will be nothing in a few years. And here is my adorable new nephew....
